Our Mental Health First Aid Courses

Mental health is a growing concern in the workplace, with work-related stress, anxiety and depression now accounting for around half of all work-related ill-health cases. That’s why it’s now more important than ever to learn how to spot the early warning signs for mental health concerns. From understanding how to help in a crisis situation to knowing where to turn to for help, our mental health first aid courses are all about ensuring you feel empowered to help someone else feel safe and supported in their time of need.

FAA Level 1 Award - 4 hours

 

This ½-Day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.

This course can be delivered online or classroom based.

FAA Level 2 Award - 1 day

 

This 1-Day course covers the content of the Level 1 course (A ½-Day course aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help) but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.

This course can be delivered online or classroom based.

FAA Level 2 Award - 1 day

 

The FAA Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults. The qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind covering areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying and will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition, start a conversation, and provide support and guidance to professional help.

FAA Level 3 Award - 2 day

 

This 2-Day On-line course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. 

 

It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications but is aimed at Trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace.
